Wachtlijsten voor psychische hulp zijn lang. Wegens het één en ook het ander sta ik na een kutte periode erop. Op de lijst. Geen+1 en al 14 maanden wachten, de rij van de School was er niks bij.
Aan het begin ging ik zo slecht dat alles als veel voelde. Het eerste wat weer lukte was het maken van deze sokken. Het begon als cadeautjes voor de mensen die er voor me waren. Zij scheelden alles♡. Hen iets geven en zien dat ze er blij van werden hielp om me weer een beetje mezelf te voelen.
Ik geloof sinds kort nu dus in dat liedje van de kleine dingen. En sinds nog korter kun je met deze sokken zo'n klein dingetje aan iemand geven. Kun je laten zien dat je er voor iemand bent. Voor when life eventjes s*cks.
10% van de winst gaat naar @wijzijnmind een organisatie die zich inzet voor psychische hulp in Nederland.

The average waiting time for mental health care has been on a rise in the last few years.* After hitting a rough patch, I have been waiting for 14 months for the right treatment. During these days I struggled with getting out of bed each morning, dressing myself and finding motivation to do anything. Until I begun to make these S*CKS.
It started out as a way to thank my supportive friends and I realised that giving something and seeing the joy that it brought to others, was the spark I needed to start feeling like myself again.
I now believe that even during the toughest times, a tiny bit of joy can go a long way. And I would like to share that same spark of joy with you whilst contributing to mental healthcare by supporting Mind.
